  • No professional experience or qualifications needed. Our training is designed for both passionate home cooks and experienced chefs. Whether you’re just starting or transitioning from a land-based kitchen, we’ll equip you with everything you need to succeed as a yacht chef.

  • You’ll receive in-person training covering galley management, provisioning, menu planning, yacht etiquette, and deckhand basics. Plus, you’ll gain access to exclusive bonuses like our career toolkit, digital resources, and vibrant community connections.

    • 14 nights accommodation (11 night in a villa, 3 nights on a yacht)

    • 10 days of classroom/kitchen training

    • 3 days training on a yacht

    • all food and drinks during the training

    • 6 hours of training per day

    • all our specialty masterclasses

    • your portfolio photos

    • your resume headshots

    • a surprise weekend activity on the day off

    • transfers from the villa to the yacht, to provisions and any other activities planned by us

  • If you wish to cancel for any reason this is the procedure & policy:

    you must email and have a confirmed response of cancellation by us. email hello@anchorandapron.co

    • within 12 weeks of training start date full refund minus €800 deposit

    • within 8 weeks 50% refund

    • anything less there is no refund unfortunately

    To protect against any loss we recommend you obtain related insurance cover.

  • You will receive a confirmation email from us (please check spam in the case you can’t find it)

    Then shortly after we will continue to send updates with more information and create a group chat closer to the date.

    You will also create a login for out Members Only Portal which will have all your resources and communities once you have completed the course.

  • Book your flight to Palma Airport (PMI).

    You will need to get a taxi from Palma Airport to the villa on day of arrival.

    You will be sent the exact location of the venue 2 weeks prior in your Welcome email, with clear instructions.

  • Check in at villa 4pm on Sun 11th May

    If your flight arrives earlier, we suggest you find a lovely cafe in the center of town to enjoy. We begin with a lovely welcome dinner at 7pm

    Check out of villa 10am on Sun 25th

    On the final day, there are no lessons and you have the morning to leisurely pack up and connect with your new cheffie friends!

  • You only need to organise yourself, personal belongings, beach towel, passport, visa and clothes. A packing list will be sent to you 2 weeks prior in a welcome email.

    You DO NOT need to bring any knives or kitchen equipment (unless you wish to do so), everything for training is supplied.

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in the price.

    All ingredients we cook with during lessons are included in the price.

    These meals will mostly be created during lessons with instructors, otherwise supplied by us (prepared earlier).

    If you book and you have dietaries we need to cater for, we can ABSOLUTELY do that. please just let us know ahead of time.

  • We provide ongoing support, including help with recruitment, resume building, interview prep, and connecting you with industry insiders to land your first job.

    The Caribbean season that we provide recruitment support with begins in October each year however you will start applying and working through the admin process from as early as June.

    We can also talk about any other career pathways with you.

  • No certifications are required to join the training. However, we’ll guide you through obtaining industry essentials like STCW and medical certificates if needed for job placement.

  • The full cost of the program is €3750.

    Our payment plan options works in cohesion with how many months out we are.

    4 months out, the option to pay the training cost in 4 parts
    3 months out, the option to pay the training cost in 3 parts and so on.

    * the payment plan option has an overall interest of €300

  • It could take 1-3 months, but don’t worry the whole process can happen virtually. Thanks to our industry connections and career guidance, you don’t need to spend thousands waiting around in a yachting hub.
