Our course is structured to simulate a yacht chefs schedule, so you learn the relevant skills for time management and tasks.

Not only do our extensive culinary classes help develop skills & spark creativity, but you will be learning how to implement these skills in a real environment.

Get 3 days & nights on board a catamaran for practical learning in small spaces, deck duties & unpredictable conditions of working on a yacht.

We don’t gatekeep any resources. Our students receive all our trusted resources from menu plans, templates, checklists, community groups & contact lists.

After completing our 2 week training, we will support you to get the right position on a yacht, the correct visas & paperwork & share lots of tools you need to succeed.

Cara Whiteman

Starting on boats at 25 after spending two amazing years in Australia and realising the ocean was her calling, she has never looked back! Travelling all over the world, from Tahiti to Montenegro, she’s sailing some of the most picturesque corners of the world, all thanks to a love for adventure, and the kitchen.

Having spent years teaching on quarterdeck academy and now settling in the Caribbean for the last three years, she’s been focusing on refining her skills as well as expanding her portfolio. With a passion for pastry, plating and nutrition, her dishes are often as nourishing as they are beautiful.

Eager to share this incredible life with others, and make yachting more accessible to young aspiring chefs, Anchor and Apron was born.

Amber Colle

When Amber was 21, she asked the age old question “what should I do with my life?” - then she discovered yachting. It was a match made in heaven for an adventurous and free spirit who loves hosting. Amber began as a self-taught chef and recently honed her skills with 3 months of culinary training in France. Her passion lies in fresh seafood dishes and Mediterranean flavors.

For the last 7 years she has tried it all. From a chef on a classic 64ft mono-hull sail yacht , party boats in Croatia, stewardess and then crew chef on superyachts… But she’s always returned back to her favourite - being a charter chef on catamarans. This niche has always provided the best community, money, flexibility and creative freedom.

That’s exactly why we are tailor making our training to help you get straight into the gem of the industry!
